How do i make my school dance amazing?

My valentine school dance is comming up and im student council president. I was wondering if anyone knew any cool decorations or accesories or anything else we could buy to make it special. for our winter dance we even had a snow machine!!! so we get extravagant!! please add ur input!

i am also the president of my student council at my schoola dn we are also hosting a school valentines dance. We are decorarting our gym in mostly pinks, reds, white, purples you no hearts and all the valentine stuff. And since valentiines is the holiday of romance we are asking the dj to play many slow songs for those teenage couples to haev their slow dances. We are also having someone dress up like cupid and those who arent dancing with someone during a slow will be put togther by cupid so everyone is together and not lonely. i hope i answered your question well.

you definitely have to have the right MUSIC!! the party would be nothing without the most popular music right now.

get heart confetti and blow it on the floor. the ppl who come have to wear either pink or red, OR BOTH!!!! then everyone can bring a valentine box, and set up a table where everyone’s box’s will be. play romantic songs, and then the usall songs, like the slides and the chicken dance. lite the gym or whereever with fake red and pink candles. set up tables with white table cothes and roses where everyone eats!!! have spotlights outside of the school. make it a multi school dance, u know the people from different schools come since ppl have bf’s and gf’s from other schools. maybe the cheerleaders can perform dressed in pink and red ,and at the end of the number they can throw that heart confetti!!!! hope thsi is a best answer..i mite add more lata

2 must haves..a huge balloon chandillier, and a bubble machine. Also use lots of white and pink lights to set the mood. You can create a walk way from the entrance about 10 foot out, by using lights on the floor..and putting Water using a blue sheer shiny , material over lots of blue lights..its always very romantic..you can make fake old style street lamps out of paper mache..and making the tops with tissue paper over wire..inside run christmas light..blue, pink or white look really nice. Ummmm…thats all I have for now..I might come back if I think of anything else.

Call the dance the Red and White Ball, or dance…Everyone that attends wears either Red, White or both…have a Heart-Shaped Ice Display for the centerpiece on the drink table…have floating heart-shape ice in the punch bowls. Have red heart confetti scattered on tables….with heart shape red and white cutouts and cupid cutouts. Have lots of Mylar ballons that are heart shaped, or those that say, Happy Valentines, Be my Valentine, etc., also have lots of just plain-red, white and pink ballons….some tied to something that is weighted..so they look like they are coming up from the floor…have some that are tied to something higher. Have a flower sale, starting two weeks before the dance…where maybe the proceeds can go towards the dance, especially if you can get a large florist in the area to either donate some flowers for the sale, or at least let you have them at cost….this also makes flowers available to students that want to purchase them as gifts for their "Valentine"…..you can also have heart-shaped mints and various candies available….or have little ‘gifts’ for everyone…those little boxes of candy hearts!
