Should I get a friend of mine that i’m interested in a dozen roses for valentines day?

Should I do it or is this holiday just for the romantically exclusive?

Go for it. Tho I would get a bit more creative with it. A female friend once told me women like to be given [a few] flowers that symbolize something as opposed to a million roses. Do some research on what each type of flower means and give her an assorted few of them.

There’s no rule that says you have to buy red roses on Valentine’s Day. There are lots of other beautiful flowers that are just as impressive. Floral designer Rebecca Cole has lots of suggestions.

How to choose Valentine’s Day bouquets

You might be thinking red for Valentines Day flowers. But maybe your love isnt traditional, or you want to save a little money. Red roses are the most expensive flowers you can buy on Valentines Day, but just any red flower might cost you a lot more. So, think outside the box.

* Go with the favorites. Lets say you know your sweeties favorite flower. All tulips, for instance. All different, gorgeous colors.

* If you dont know her favorite flowers, perhaps you know her favorite color. So get a bouquet thats uses her favorite color in a number of different kinds of flowers.

* If all else fails, think of spring, and go with a beautiful spring bouquet. Spring is never wrong.

* One more idea, the hand-tied bouquet. It’s a unique and portable way to say it with flowers.
